Reorder Points: They often have established reorder points (ie. min/max) to determine when to replenish stock.
Storage: They require storage space and possibly specific storage conditions.
Examples: Standard products in a retail store (like shoes, books), raw materials in a manufacturing process, or spare parts in an equipment maintenance facility.
Non-Stockable Items

Order-based: These items are usually ordered or produced on a per-order basis such as a direct ship or special order.
No Regular Inventory: They don't have regular inventory levels to monitor or typical reorder points.
Lead Time: The lead time might be longer compared to stockable items, especially if they are made-to-order.
Where to Find Stockable and Non-Stockable Items in Recurrency
A common question we get pertains to locating stockable versus non-stockable items within the Recurrency platform. Here's a handy guide to help you navigate:
Inventory Mission Control Dashboard:
Both stockable and non-stockable items are visible here.
Utilize filters to easily focus on either type based on what you want to see/analyze.
Recurrency Forecasting and Planning:
Displays stockable items only.
This is because items in this section are managed for replenishment, utilizing usage data to forecast future behavior and provide replenishment value recommendations.
Recurrency Purchasing:
Both stockable and non-stockable items are shown.
Identify whether a specific line item is stockable or non-stockable in the "Stockable" column.
Discontinued items are omitted from this section, regardless of their stockability status.
