Self-Serve User Management

Updated over 2 months ago

Recurrency's Self-Serve User Management feature empowers administrators with efficient user provisioning, monitoring, and permissions management capabilities. By leveraging this functionality, organizations can maintain robust user access control within their Recurrency instance.

This article provides step-by-step instructions and clear explanations for administrators who have access to the User Management functionality within Recurrency.

πŸ’‘ If there is someone on your team who should have access to this feature and doesn't, please reach out to Recurrency Support or to your dedicated Customer Success Manager.

User Permissions Overview

Recurrency's Self-Serve User Management empowers administrators to handle user provisioning, password resets, and user deactivation independently. This feature is accessible only to Customer Admins and aims to address issues of trust and scale by allowing direct user management.

How To Use This Feature

  1. Navigating to User Management:

    • Access the User Management feature from the Settings module by selecting the "Users" page.

    • Note that this page is exclusively available to Customer Admins.

Access Overview

Recurrency divides access into two categories: Roles and Permissions.

Roles

Admins will only be able to see Roles when provisioning and managing user permissions if they have access to the Recurrency Sales module. Roles determine which set of orders, invoices, and customers a user can access. Note that each user can be assigned to multiple roles, with the ability toggle between them in the top left dropdown of their Recurrency page.

Existing roles include:

  • Admin: Can manage all settings and users.

  • Manager: Can manage data for multiple Sales Reps

    • When you choose this role, Recurrency will display all existing Sales Rep IDs from your ERP, allowing you to select multiple IDs. Users granted these permissions will gain insight into aggregated data and activities spanning across the Sales Reps they have visibility over.

  • Sales Rep: Can manage data for a specific Sales Rep ID. This is also known as individual permissions.

πŸ’‘ Certain roles managed by the Recurrency team remain invisible to Admins unless they've been granted the appropriate permissions. To oversee these roles, please contact our Support team for assistance.

Permissions

Permissions control access to specific pages and settings. Existing permissions include:

Recurrency Planning and Purchasing

  • Can manage all settings and users.

  • Can manage Demand Planning Settings.

  • Can manage integration details. Note: This permission is managed by the Recurrency team and is usually granted only to technical contacts.

  • Can only see data for specific companies.
