Purchasing Autocomplete is a powerful feature within our system designed to streamline and optimize the process of creating Purchase Orders (POs). It guides you through the PO optimization step, helping you meet supplier targets efficiently and make informed decisions.
Why Use PO Autocomplete?
Time Efficiency: Say goodbye to the time-consuming process of manually analyzing each item for optimal selection. Purchasing Autocomplete simplifies and accelerates your PO optimization workflow.
Optimized Decisions: Make informed purchasing decisions by utilizing Autocomplete's recommendations, ensuring your POs are aligned with supplier targets while minimizing excess inventory holding costs.

Leveraging PO Autocomplete
In Step 2 of the PO builder:
Locate and click on the "Auto Fill" or “Auto Trim” buttons within the Purchasing section. You’ll have the option to Trim or Fill a PO, depending on whether you want to increase or decrease a PO to achieve a desired target. This will open the Autocomplete modal.
Review Optimization Direction:
Upon clicking, you will see recommended items that optimize your PO to be just above or just below the supplier target.
Default settings are above for monetary values and below for units, volume, and weight.
Optimizing Below Supplier Target:
If your target is below the supplier target, you'll enter the "Add Items" experience.
A list of items with quantities to change will be presented, including the item, current amount in the PO, recommended change, and holding cost.
Accept, reject, or modify suggestions:
Accept: Select an item(s) from the list and accept the recommended "new" quantity.
Reject: Deselect an item(s) from the list. Item won't be recommended again.
Modify: Select an item(s) from the list and modify the “new” quantity to a custom amount.
Optimizing Above Supplier Target:
If your target is above the supplier target, you'll enter the "Trim Items" experience.
A list of items to remove from the order will be presented, containing the item, current amount in the PO, and quantity needed.
Accept, reject, or modify suggestions:
Accept: Select an item(s) from the list and accept the recommended “new” quantity.
Reject: Deselect an item(s) from the list. Item won't be recommended again.
Modify: Select an item(s) from the list and modify the “new” quantity to a custom amount.
