Daily Workflow

How to use Daily Workflow

Updated over a month ago

Overview

The Daily Workflow is a new, guided way to work within Recurrency that complements the existing Planning table.

It’s designed to highlight the most time-sensitive, high-priority items each day, giving you a focused list for faster, more confident decision-making—while keeping the broader Planning tab available for deeper exploration.

💡 Rules run nightly so every morning your Daily Workflow is fresh and focused, ensuring you start your day with the highest-impact actions.

Why Daily Workflow?

  • A Different Lens – The Planning table is ideal for exploring all recommendations, applying filters, and doing deep analysis. The Daily Workflow instead curates a list of items where timing matters most.

  • Built for Momentum – By surfacing the handful of items needing attention today, you can act quickly and trust you’re addressing the most urgent needs first.

  • Supports Long-Term Adoption – Once you’re comfortable with Recurrency’s recommendations, the Daily Workflow gives you a consistent process to stay focused and prioritize without having to review every single item in your backlog. This consistency builds trust in the system and ensures it becomes a natural part of your day.

How It Works

Rule-Driven Prioritization

  • Items appear in Daily Workflow based on configurable rules (e.g., “Actual sales > Forecast for 3+ months in a row”).

  • Rules are tailored per customer and evolve over time.

Context-Rich Reviews

  • Each item view contains all the key metrics and plain-English explanations in one screen—no need to jump around.

  • The right-hand “Lookout” panel explains why the item is in your list and suggests the recommended action.

Consistent Tracking & Coaching

  • Recurrency monitors how often tasks are completed, how often they reappear, and how frequently you accept recommendations.

  • This helps us fine-tune your workflow so it stays accurate, efficient, and easy to use.

Gradual Automation

  • If you consistently accept the same recommendations without changes, Recurrency can offer to handle those items for you automatically.

  • This means less manual work for you and more time to focus on the decisions that really matter.

Deliberate Focus

  • No bulk actions—each surfaced item is meant to be reviewed thoughtfully.

  • The list stays short, actionable, and relevant.

How to Use Daily Workflow

  1. Understand the Item View

    • Each item in the Daily Workflow appears because it was surfaced by the rules powering your Review Buckets.

    • The display shows all key information about the item, including forecasts, sales history, purchase orders, net stock, quantity available, and replenishment paths.

  2. Adjust Minimum and Maximum Values

    • Use the Min and Max input fields to update stocking parameters.

    • Increase or decrease values with the up/down arrow keys.

    • Use the Tab key to move between fields.

    • As you adjust values, the Projected Inventory Change updates in real time.

  3. Edit Additional Item Settings

    • You can edit other key fields—such as Lead Time, Safety Stock, Order Cycle Time, Stock Floor, and Minimum Order Quantity—by clicking the pencil icon next to each value.

  4. Navigate Between Items

    • Next Item: Press K or click Next.

    • Previous Item: Press J or click Prev.

  5. Take Action on Recommendations

    • Accept Recommendation: Press L or click Accept.

    • Override & Exclude: Click the Override and Exclude button if you want to set different parameters.

  6. Send Approved Changes to ERP

    • Once ready, click Send Reviews to P21.

    • Review the summary, then click Send to P21 to push updates to your ERP.

    • The summary shows how many items you reviewed, accepted, overridden, or flagged, as well as the total projected inventory change from your decisions.

  7. Filter and Focus

    • Use filters for Buyer, Requirement Location, and Supplier to narrow your list. These settings will be saved by Recurrency to streamline your workflow

    • Review Buckets group items by the rules that flagged them for today’s workflow.

💡 Note: Daily Workflow items refresh nightly. To save your work, ensure you submit item updates by the end of each day.
