Using Saved Filters in Planning

Saved Filters let you store named combinations of filters, search, and sort on the Planning page so you can return to the same view without rebuilding it each time.

Use Saved Filters when you repeatedly work from the same slices of inventory — for example, Needs Review at specific locations, a primary supplier you manage, or a search for a product family.

​Notes:

- Saved Filters are available on the Planning page in Demand Planning.

- Each user can save up to 10 filters.

- Filters are personal— they are not shared with other users.

- A saved filter can include facet filters, extended filters, search text, and sort settings.

1. Navigate to Demand Planning → Planning.

2. Above the facet filter buttons, look for the Saved filters control in the toolbar.

When no saved filter is selected, the button reads Saved filters. When one is active, it reads Current filter: (name).

1. On the Planning page, apply the filters, search, and/or sort you want to reuse.

2. Click the + to create a new filter.

3. In the Save current filters as new modal, enter a Filter name.

4. Confirm to save.

Your new filter becomes the active filter. You can reopen it anytime from the Saved filters dropdown.

💡 You need at least one filter, extended filter, or search value applied before you can create a saved filter. If you’ve already saved 10 filters, the + button is disabled until you delete one.

1. Click Saved filters to open the dropdown.

2. Select the filter you want to apply.

Planning updates to that filter’s saved state, returns you to the first page of results, and clears any selected rows.

​Set a Default Filter

You can mark one saved filter as your default so it loads automatically when you open Planning with no filters already in the URL.

1. Open the Saved filters dropdown.

2. Click the star icon next to the filter you want as default.

The starred filter is your default. Click the star again to unset it. Only one default can be active at a time — setting a new default clears the previous one.

If you change filters while a saved filter is active, the toolbar shows Unsaved changes.

1. Make sure the filter you want to update is the current (active) filter.

2. Adjust filters, search, or sort as needed.

3. Click the save icon (Save changes to this filter) to overwrite that preset with the current setup.

To keep the original preset and also keep your new setup, click + instead and save it under a new name.

1. Click the edit (pencil) icon next to the filter.

2. Enter a new name in the Rename filter modal and confirm.

Click the X (Unselect filter) next to the current filter label to detach from the saved preset.

1. Click the trash icon next to the filter.

2. Confirm deletion in the Delete saved filter dialog.

Deleted filters cannot be recovered. Create a new one if you need the same setup again.

- Name filters by workflow, not by date — e.g. “Needs Review – Midwest” or “Supplier 10012 – High Predictability.”

- Use a default for the view you open every morning so Planning starts where you left off mentally.
​

- Update intentionally — if you see Unsaved changes, decide whether to save over the existing filter or create a new one with +.

- Stay under the limit — each user has a max of 10 saved filters. Delete unused presets to make room for new ones.

Are saved filters shared with my team?

No. Saved filters belong to your user account.

Do saved filters work on Forecasting or Purchasing?

No. This feature is currently available on the Planning page only.

​What happens if I don’t set a default?

Planning falls back to your previous browser-stored filters (when available), same as
before Saved Filters.

Can I save sort without any filters?

Sort is included when you save a filter that also has filters or search applied. You cannot create a new saved filter from sort alone.
