Frequency of Data Refreshes

Updated over 2 months ago

Understanding the frequency of data refreshes is crucial for making informed decisions and maximizing the effectiveness of your supply chain management. Below, we outline the key schedules across each component of the platform: Forecasting, Planning, and Dashboard Reporting.

Forecasts

Forecasts are recalculated on the 1st of every month pulling data from the previous month – expect meaningful changes to your forecast, updates to the planning recommendations, and item status changes.

We run forecast updates daily as well to take into account new data and changes to your ERP. See below for what is impacted on a daily basis.

Forecast dependent refreshes

Some data will be updated at the time of forecast (overnight). This includes:

  • Usage: Usage data from the prior day will be incorporated into the current month usage. The 1st of the month will reflect the biggest reset from the prior month close.

  • Stock Status Changes: Any ERP items marked as stockable or nonstockable will change status at this time.

  • New Item Inheritance Mappings: The usage will be updated for any items set up with new item inheritance mappings.

  • Replenishment Paths Usage Changes: Newly created paths will translate into planning via updated usage aggregation and location updates.

  • Primary Supplier: Any changes to the primary supplier will go into effect when the forecast reruns.

Other updates happen in near real-time:

  • Forecast Overrides: When you override forecasts directly in Recurrency, the changes will automatically flow into recommendations. These adjustments typically take effect within 10–15 minutes, ensuring buyers can act quickly without waiting for the next overnight forecast.

Planning

  • Safety Stock: Real time

  • Order Cycle: Real time

  • Stock Floor: Real time

  • Minimum Order Quantity: Real time

  • Side Context Panel Data (POs, SOs, etc): Refreshed every ~10 minutes

  • Planning Recommendations:

    • Recalculated immediately as inputs change (lead times, safety stock, order cycle, stock floor, minimum order quantity).

    • Recalculated overnight when usage is overridden.

    • Recalculated immediately when forecast is overridden.
