Overview
Usage Data Overrides empower you to manually adjust usage data for items and locations. This feature allows you to handle anomalies, correct errors, and improve planning accuracy. Adjustments can be made for individual usage lines and changes will be reflected the next time forecasting runs.
How to Use Usage Data Overrides
Step 1: Navigate to an Item
Locate the specific item and location you want to adjust by using the search or filter options in either the Planning or Forecasting pages.
View usage data by either the Usage section of an item side panel in the Planning modal or Usage & Forecast section of the Forecasting modal.
Step 2: Review and Manage Outliers
Open the Usage Lines tab for the selected item.
Review any lines marked with an outlier icon. These are flagged as potential exceptions.
To exclude an outlier from usage data:
Check the Exceptional box next to the flagged line.
This line will be excluded from usage calculations the next time forecasting is run.
If the flagged line is normal, leave it unchecked to include it in usage data.
(Optional) Add a note to document the reason for the change. This note will appear alongside the override for added transparency.
To save your changes, click Save Usage Lines.
